Love Zathura! And Dax is mrrrmmmm yummy in it, too. I haven’t seen any of his other movies, so I can’t compare his performances, sadly. But Zathura is Jumanji on a much cooler level.

I’d also recommend Idiocracy. He’s an infuriating but likable character in it, and it’s a good black comedy to boot.

I also just started to appreciate Dax. He is quite appealing in the wife-beater T-shirts he seems to favor. (Does that unappealing term predate Marlon Brandon in “Streetcar”?

hey. i agree with you putting Dax Shepard on this list (as with all the others). i can’t seem to be able to e-mail you so i’ll put it here. i’m suprised not to have seen my great uncle Robert Duvall on your list. He’s a famous academy award winning acter, famous for his roles in cowboy westerns. He is most famous for his role as the white haired Augustus McCrae from the (epic and LONG) film “LONESOME DOVE”. He was the lead star of the film along with your ex-boyfriends chris cooper and Tommy Lee Jones. Despite how old he was, his character attracted much female attention showing they either didn’t notice his age or really didn’t care. I just felt obligated to my uncle to mention it. i’m also SUPPOSEDLY related to Micheal Phelps. I’m a guy, (straight) but i discovered your site by looking up the meerkat Shakepeare and couldn’t help but take a peak. I love all these acters! so cool! Especially Richard dean Anderson. well i got to go. I just felt obligated to mention my uncle Robert. If you haven’t seen lonesome dove you really should.

Listen, here’s the problem with making Robert Duvall a Boyfriend of the Week. I LOVE THAT MAN. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. I WORSHIP HIM. There’s nothing I could say about him that could possibly do him justice. I’d feel like a moron. The whole write-up would have to just be a photo of him from Mockingbird standing in the corner of Jem’s bedroom with his head tipped down and a sentence that reads, “GodDAMN, Boo Radley. I will never be the same now that I’ve seen your face.”
Okay, well, maybe that wouldn’t be such a bad thing. I’m going to take this under advisement.

I first saw Dax on Punkd, where Ashton Kutcher used him in a lot of pranks. I agree he is great in Parenthood. Do you find a lot of the scenes so dark (literally) that it is hard to see the room??
