I was extremely shaken by the news of her death, and I can’t tell you how glad I am that you’re paying this tribute to her. I looked in here this a.m. specifically to see if you were going to mention her. What would you think of doing an “honorary girl-friend of the week” tribute to her?
I called my mom yesterday to apologize for being so awful when I was in the hospital for brain surgery. At the time, it never occurred to me that I might be in any danger; I was just mad at being so “inconvenienced!” God! Natasha Richardson died!!! There but for the grace of God…. And besides that, she was beautiful, and a very good actress! I’d venture to use a lot more “bad” words than just the one you used!
Yeah, remember how fearless we were when we were learning to ski? (Particularly YOU, skiing straight down the mountain!) This was terrifying news, especially to the mother of Sydney who conks her head about 10,000 times every single day! I’m so sad for her family. I never really saw anything that she was in, but I love Liam and can’t help but think of his character in “Love, Actually”. And I’m so sad for her two boys.
See, I was only trying to protect you from brain injury … and that is the thanks that I get! And know you’re the one always trying to protect ME from things!

Definitely a talented woman! I know it’s made me realize the potential danger of “bump on the head”.

wow, she is so lovely in that picture. What wouldn’t most of us give to look like that at 45! (Or now!)
I only saw her in The Parent Trap, but I remember thinking she was really charming in that. Such a sad story.
